I woke up this morning with the realization that I am feeling better than I ever have before. The last two weeks have been fun, engaging, creative and fulfilling. I am excited about new projects and new ideas. I have ventured forth to explore new places and try new things.
I feel lighter and much more accepting of myself and others. This is big! Being kind to myself is a new skill. I had always been very tough on myself. That has faded little by little as I have practiced the daily morning meditation for the past year or so.
The mantra that came to me early on was “Soft and easy, kind and gentle.” It was a reminder to give myself a break and to allow myself to be ok with whatever I was doing and feeling in any moment. I could soothe myself in the same ways that I would encourage a friend to feel better. It was also empowering to know that going to sleep would cancel any negative momentum and that the next morning would be an opportunity to reset my vibration with another meditation and take on a new day with whatever life had to offer to me. It became a game to see how well I could manage my emotions.
I can see now that this consistent practice of meditating for 18 minutes every morning before breakfast has released so much resistance. My approach to everything has changed. I am more open, more expectant and kinder to myself and others. I like the idea that I am seeing through the eyes of Source more and more often. The intention is to feel my alignment more and more each day.
What does being in alignment feel like?
It feels like interest. It feels like fun. It feels like creativity. It feels like freedom. It feels like exploring. It feels like love. It feels like peace. It feels like satisfaction. It feels like giddiness. It feels like laughter. It feels like praise. It feels like appreciation. It feels like luxury. It feels like comfort. It feels like excitement. In short, any feeling of positive emotion is alignment.
Once you feel alignment and acknowledge the feeling, you set yourself up for more of the same. It is the power of positive momentum. All you have to do is commit to a morning meditation and watch what happens!
This is all a very personal, very internal process. It’s not something that shows on the outside like going to the gym to workout. It’s more of a soul workout. The practice is not visible to the naked eye and the results are subtle. Just because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not there – just like Source Energy and your Inner Being!
